Om Sai Cine Films’ ‘Ekdam Kadak’ is a story of two adjoining villages, sleek and handsome. Mama is the chief of Chikani, a drought-stricken village. Anna (Madhav Abhyankar) is the head of a Dakhni village with abundant water. However, as the residents of Dakhni village are not ready to distribute water to neighbouring Chikani village, enmity has arisen between the two villages.

Movie Review / Story

Mama’s son Gatya (Partha Bhalerao) and Anna’s daughter Pinky (Gayatri Jadhav) study in the same college. Gatia loves Pinky but Pinky does not reciprocate his love due to the enmity between the two villages.

One day Sweety (Bhagyashree Mote) comes to a handsome village with her ailing grandmother (Rukmini Sutar). She explains to Pinky that there is nothing wrong with loving Chikni, a village boy. From there the love story of Gatya and Pinky begins. How the enmity between the two villages finally ends is the origin of the play.

Ganesh Shinde’s story is dull and gloomy. Kalpesh Jagtap’s screenplay fails to connect or engage the audience as it tries to connect a love story with an ongoing problem between two villages. There are some light scenes that entertain but not enough. Overall the drama fails to attract the audience. Kalpesh Jagtap’s dialogues are average, except for some double-meaning dialogues which are hilarious.
